Product Guide for Keeler Cryomatic Systems

Since 1966, Keeler has been providing ophthalmic surgeons with reliable, high-performance Cryomatic systems. Over the years, we’ve worked to stay ahead of the curve to anticipate the needs of surgeons.

Our hyper focus on the unique needs of ophthalmic surgeons has been the driving force that allows us to continually improve and expand our cutting-edge range of Cryo Ophthalmic Instruments. Let’s take a look at the entire Keeler Cryo Ophthalmic Instrument lineup.

The New Cryomatic Console MKII

Building on the outstanding reliability of its predecessor, the Cryomatic MK II is engineered to redefine how you view and administer cryotherapy treatments. The Cryomatic MK II delivers versatility and quality whether you’re utilizing the reusable or disposable probes.

It features an innovative coupling system that allows you to quickly connect reusable or single-use probes without an adaptor. The cutting-edge software works to instantly detect the type of probe being used and automatically adjust the parameters for optimized performance. This means your unit will be ready to use in a matter of moments. If you’re using single probes, Keeler’s Cryomatic System will instantly allow you to couple and use without having to wait for a purge cycle.

Smarter Technology, Better Results

Keeler Cryomatic Systems

In addition, Keeler’s world-class Cryomatic System employs today’s “smart” technology to save you time and prevent hassle. Each time you connect a probe there is instant electronic communication between the probe and the console. This allows the console to automatically recognize and establish the predetermined operating parameters for any specific probe. In other words, the Cryomatic II auto configures to the characteristics of the probe for enhanced efficiency.

Back-Flush Facility

Another key attribute of the Keeler Cryomatic device is it comes with a back-flush facility. During purging as well as approximately 20 seconds after the footswitch is release, the gas in the system will reverse its flow — but do so at a lower pressure. This altered direction of the gas following a freeze works to dislodge and remove any moisture or debris that may have accumulated. As a result, it helps to eliminate the risk of problems during surgery.

Cryomatic MK II Probes

Whenever you’re coupling single probes to the Cryomatic MK II, it will automatically adjust the settings and be ready for use without waiting for purge cycles. In addition, the Cryomatic MK II now features all new reusable probes that are engineered for a quick and easy connection with a classic tip form.

Similar to the single use probes, the intelligent software will detect and optimize the parameters for performance perfection — regardless of the type of probe you’re using — and help deliver an exceptionally short purge cycle.

All of the new Cryomatic MK II probes are the result of decades of research and reengineering. We’ve invested in the goal of producing probes that deliver a better freeze with more reliability as well as unparalleled simplicity to empower you to provide the highest level of care. Although the following probes have retained their classical tip configurations, they have been fundamentally redesigned to reduce blocking caused by moisture from sterilization or from impurities in the cryogen gas:
